I've had the hint up for some time now, but the big news today is that Just Cause 2 has now been confirmed as a Steam exclusive.
What is Steam?
Steam is a digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer and communications platform developed by Valve Corporation. It is used to distribute a large number of games and related media entirely over the internet, from small independent efforts to larger, more popular games. Steam is set apart from similar services primarily by its community features, completely automated game update process, and its use of in-game functionality.

So if you're a PC gamer, this is great news as updates will be delivered automatically, and Steam fully supports DLC distribution. This is also great as even though you can only register it to one account, you are not limited to a single PC unlike other digital distributors or big titles. All you need to do is login to the account you installed Just Cause 2 on.
You will of course still get all the pre-order bonuses, but pre-ordering it in the shops still has it's benefits: you can install the game straight from disc instead of having to wait for it to download, and not forgetting... you'll get the limited edition map too.
As the game is now less than two months away, I can assure you that these next two months are going to be filled with exciting stuff to keep you on the edge of your seats, biting your nails, or whatever else it is you do in shear anticipation!
